NEW YORK, NY- McNeill Art Group is proud to announce the opening of the inaugural juried art exhibition, Mad About Art + Design. Sixteen artists and designers have been selected by our jurors to be featured in the exhibition at the McNeill Art Group Tribeca Project Space on view from April 25th through September 4th, 2012. There will be an invite only VIP reception held on Wednesday, April 25th from 6-8pm and an open house will take place May 5th and 6th from 11am-5pm.
The exhibition is comprised of sixteen artists and designers who are creating compelling and imaginative work in the fields of painting, photography, sculpture, installation, functional art and design. Artists were invited to participate in this opportunity to present their work to an international market of collectors, art enthusiasts and professionals in New York City and the Hamptons. One of the selected artists will then be featured with McNeill Art Group at the Art Hamptons International Fine Art Fair Summer 2012.

Beth McNeill, director of McNeill Art Group, creates community and global awareness of contemporary art through curatorial exhibitions, international art fairs, and private consulting. McNeill works with both public and private institutions in the US and abroad. McNeill exhibits at international art fairs including Scope London, Scope Miami, Munich Contempo, the NY Art & Design Fair, Art Hamptons and the Architectural Digest Home Design Show. McNeill has been on panel discussions at the School of Visual Arts and The Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, NY.
Kipton Cronkite, founder of KiptonART, promotes up-and-coming artists, musicians, and filmmakers to key influencers in art, entertainment, society, and business. KiptonART has grown to be the leading e-commerce art site for interior designers, collectors and art enthusiasts listing over 1,800 registered artists and an online art work inventory exceeding $30 million. Kipton is involved in arts related organizations and charities such as the Apollo Circle at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Young Collectors of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Contemporaries Executive Committee at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Young Fellows of the Frick Collection Steering Committee. Amy Lau of Amy Lau Design founded her interiors firm in 2001 and currently serves as an independent advisor to collectors of 20th Century decorative arts. In 2005, she co-founded the prestigious Design Miami. Amy Lau Design has been featured in Elle Decor, the New York Times, New York Spaces, Gotham, House & Garden, and on the cover of LUXE magazine. Amy has served as a speaker and panelist for events organized by the likes of Sotheby's Institute of Art, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, Metropolitan Home magazine, Dwell magazine, and Bklyn Designs. Amy recently launched the release of her first design book, Expressive Modern: The Interiors of Amy Lau.
R. Adam Smith, CEO of VandM.com (Vintage + Modern), is a private investor and serial entrepreneur having formed, co-founded, or started several private investment and operating partnerships since 1995, and as a former staff or executive member with established Wall Street and private investment firms, including Lehman Brothers, Caxton-Iseman Capital and Castle Harlan, Inc. Mr. Smith earned an MBA with honors from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University and a BA cum laude in from Boston University.
